Professional Migrant Women is A Business We Love!
PMW aims to close the gap between migration and professional employment for women. They want professional migrant women to be seen for who they really are and to be recognised for their true potential in the Australian workplace. PMW provides a supportive community, access to professional networks and opportunities for professional development.
Their community includes the support of local professional women and men, ready to provide advice, engage and show the way in a safe and inclusive space. PMW believes in the power of knowledge, self-determination, collaboration and sorority. They encourage the sharing resources and believe in the sentiment of paying it forward as an accelerated way to achieve their goals.
Equipped with 15 years of experience of being a migrant in Australia PMW was launched in 2019. PMW seeks to assist the increasing number of professional migrant women who want to contribute to their new community in Australia. With Fabiola’s diverse career in community development, coaching, and organisational training, she decided to help and created the PMW mentoring program. The program started with three mentees in October. Today, PMW is hosting two different groups with 11 participants each in semester 2-2020.
The community continues to grow, attracting potential new mentees and the support of Australian professionals from all walks of life, lending a helping hand to provide fulfilling career paths for professional migrant women.
