Under 6% of people in our media come from diverse backgrounds.
In a recent Sydney Morning Herald opinion piece by Sandra Elhelw Wright, CEO of the Settlement Council of Australia (SCoA), she wrote about ‘a sobering absence of multicultural representation in Australian media.’
To address this, SCoA is developing a program – ‘Stories of Multicultural Australia‘ – targeted at training 30 migrants and refugees to:
– Share their story,
– Shape the debate, and
– Refine discussion on vital issues.
With your help, a newly empowered group of upskilled changemakers will have their voices amplified.
