Christine Mudavanhu-Makumbe is an entrepreneur, change maker, strategic policy advisor

Christine is an Advisor at the Advisory Board Centre, a mentor for the Queensland Small Business Mentorship Program and students in the African community, a motivational speaker and facilitator. Christine has an exceptional passion for diversity and inclusion in the workplace and in small business. Christine has established Utano Consulting Services, a consulting service that is focused on providing cultural advice, support, training and development for small business and the corporate sector around diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Christine is a firm believer that our difference is the advantage. Christine believes that we all making decisions based on our innate bias. If leaders allow ignorance and lack of appreciation about how differences impact workplace and in business environment productivity will be impacted.

Christine is the convener of the Queensland Migrant Women in Business Summit and the supporting network which is focused on raising awareness and showcasing the significant contribution that migrant women make to the economy.

Christine is highly experienced trainer and workshop facilitator, with strong skills in strategy, negotiation, mentorship, coaching project management, corporate event planning skills. Christine has learnt the fine art of navigating complex sensitive conversations around organizational culture and how it often neglects to incorporate culturally sensitive policies and programs to support people from multicultural backgrounds to better integrate into the Australian work environment. Christine works with women in small business and with small to medium enterprises who are looking to develop their organizational culture and increase the diversity in leadership of their organisations.
